What are Order Notifications ?

There are two types of screen pop-up order notifications that can be seen when managing orders:
The New Order Notification Orders Require Attention Notification

Sound notifications can be set up to play when the new order is received. These can be set to repeat at intervals to notify users of unprocessed orders.
How do I set up Order Notifications ?
Order notifications are set up in 'Users' under the Admin section in the Tapendium Admin portal.
Navigation: Site Admin → Users → Create User/Edit an existing user
If the 'Allow user to change settings' is checked while creating a new user or editing a user role then the user can manage their own notification settings.
How do I access settings on the Orders Screen ?
If the 'Allow User to Change Settings' box is checked in the User management window, then the user
can manage their own notifications settings.
How do I change Order Viewer notifications ?
Order viewers receive notifications and alerts about new orders and orders requiring processing. The settings for these notifications can be changed from two places.
Method 1: From Order Viewer settings in the Edit User window

Go to Manage → Site Admin → Users

Click on edit symbol for an user

In the Edit User Page, go to the Order Viewer Settings option. Settings can be changed here.
The options are as follows:

Default Order View |
This will depend on the user’s task. For example, if a user is just responsible for new tasks. |

Play Sound |
If this is checked, sound plays on the user’s computer to alert them for a new order. |

Repeat After |
The sound duration can be set o repeat after intervals to alert user, if the order has not been processed during the elapsed time. |
|
Display pop-up box |
Pop up boxes will appear on the user’s to notify of a new order if this box is checked. |

Method 2: From settings in the Order View
If the 'Allow user to change settings' is checked while editing a user then the user can manage their own notification settings which leads us to Method 2.
Go to Order Viewer and click on settings
The Order Viewer settings pop us and the settings can be changed.
If the user has permission, they can also change settings here.
If they do not have permission, the user needs to contact their administrator to allow permission to change their settings by checking the box next to 'Allow user to change settings' in the Edit User window (as seen above).
What is an Order Escalation Notification ?
If an order is left in the system without being marked 'Complete', an additional alert can be set up to safeguard against orders being delayed or missed.
These alerts are called escalations and can be sent via email or SMS.

Escalations are sent to users , hence they need to be set up before.

This feature is not enabled by default. Contact Tapendium Support for the feature.
How do I set up Escalation Notification ?
Step Update user Information.
Make sure the user has a valid email address. Add a mobile number if you to send SMS alerts.
Please see Add Users for guidance in creating a new user.
Step
Open Order View Settings and Escalation Settings.
Escalation settings are found under the Order View Settings page. (Manage → Site Admin → Order View Settings → Escalation Settings)
Step
Edit Order Escalations.

You can send two Escalation alerts for an incomplete order.

You can choose email or SMS or both by using checkboxes. If you do not wish to have a second escalation alert, uncheck both SMS and Email boxes.

SMS and alerts can go to different users.

Escalation will be sent after Elapsed time reaches the thresholds if the order is not marked complete.
