How do I add translation to an Item?

Open the Item by clicking on the Edit icon

Choose the language from the dropdown list (When you choose a different language, the new language replaces the product name and Description).

This Item will appear in ‘new language’ on the tablet after you click save. **Please Note if you want to see the ‘new language’ translate in Admin Portal, you will need to reopen Admin Portal and change view to ‘new language’.
How do I activate or deactivate a Room Service Item?
There are 2 ways to activate or deactivate Room Service Items - through the Item or on the Categories list.
The best practice to change the status of an Item is from the Categories screen (Method 1). That way the Item stays in the correct Category and can easily be activated again. If you do it from the Item screen or Edit Item page (Method 2) they are removed from the Category and have to be added there again when Activated.
Method 1: Change status from Categories screen (BEST METHOD)

Navigate to the Categories page in Room Service. Click on Edit icon of the select Item.
2. Switch Active or Inactive in the Edit Item page. Click Save.
3. Inactive Item will remain on the Categories but positioned at the bottom of the Category.
Method 2A: In the Items view of the Admin Portal, click on Inactive.
Method 2b: From the Edit Item window in the Items page.

Navigate to Items Page. Click the Edit icon of the select Item.

Click on Status (from inactive to active). Click Save.
How do I make the Breakfast Menu available 24 hours?
Breakfast Menu have extra setup options for other Menus because of how breakfast ordering usually operates in hotels. Breakfast is usually pre-ordered and the kitchen knows in advance what has been ordered and the time the guest would like it delivered. If ‘Use Breakfast Delivery Times’ is selected for a Breakfast Menu in Tapendium, guests cannot order from other menus on the same order. This is to conform to standard procedures that hotels have for managing breakfast orders.
Some hotels have 24 hours breakfast menus, and it is possible to enable guests to order from a breakfast menu and other menus on one order by deselecting the ‘Use Breakast Delivery Times’ box. To set this up follow the step below.
Step 1: Navigate to Menus Tab. Click on Edit icon of the selected Breakfast Menu.
Step 2: Deselect the ‘Use Breakfast Delivery Times' box. Click Save.
Note: If you want to enable both delivery time selection for breakfast AND allow breakfast Items to be ordered on the standard menu, you will need to duplicate the breakfast Items on a standard Menu Tab. For example - create a Breakfast Menu Tab with Delivery Times enabled to allow guests order breakfast for the next morning. Then also add breakfast Items to another standard Breakfast Menu Tab (without ticking the ‘Use Breakfast Delivery Times’ box) so that guests can order them with other menu Items at any time of the day.
How do I schedule menu changes?
Menu tabs, Categories and individual Items can all be configured with scheduled Start and Expiry dates. You can use this to display limited-time specials or to manage an entire menu changeover.
The item will become visible at midnight on the Start Date, and disappear at midnight on the Expiry Date.
