What is a Location Group ?

Location Groups help you control and manage what content appears to different groups of rooms or different areas.

Location Groups can be used to target content to groups of rooms, floors, suites, restaurants, demonstrations, testing, and spare tablets. They are useful for testing new content.

The Select Group option is available in nearly every module of the Tapendium solution, meaning most content can be targeted at specific locations.
What can Location Groups be used for ?

A menu can be made available to specific groups of Locations.

Targeting Guest Services to specific locations.

Concierge services can be made available to only the locations in a certain group.

Targeting business services to specific guests.

Information can be targeted at specific guests, such as executive-level locations.
How do I add a Location Group ?
Step 1 : Select 'Add group' as shown below
Step 2 : Fill in details of the group when the Group Window pops up.
Name: The name of the group can be Room 1001, Lounge Bar etc. that best describes the group.
Status: Active or Inactive.
Demo or Spare Group: When enabled for a particular group it will be excluded from analytics data collection and Device Management Alerts.
It is designed for test or demo devices.
Groups: An entire Groups of Locations can be added - for example a whole floor or Suites.
Group Members: Shows the Groups added.
Locations: Individual Locations can be added too.
Location Members: Shows the Locations added.
