Where Can I Find: Workstation IP Addresses; How Can I Create the SOAP URL?
By default, the general.ini contains the value of http://localhost:8080/EGateway/SimphonyPOSApiWeb.asmx. To create the SOAP URL, you’ll need to replace the “localhost:8080” portion of the URL above with the IP address and Port of the TS Workstation.
IP addresses of the Workstations can be found by opening the Workstations page. From the Home page, Property level, Setup tab, Hardware/Interfaces section. Once the Workstations page is open, the Table view should show the IP address in the Address / Host Name column. Verify the Port number by double-clicking on the POSAPI Client Workstation, which opens the Form view, and navigating to the Service Host tab, where you can see the Port Number in the Port Column in the Service Host Configuration section.
So for this Enterprise, our SOAP URL is http://10.100.9.100:8080/EGateway/SimphonyPOSApiWeb.asmx.
Where Can I Find: Default RVC # on the TS and Host Workstation
The Default RVC # on the TS and Host Workstations can be found by opening the Workstations page. From the Home page, at the Property level, Setup tab, Hardware/Interfaces section. Once the Workstations page is open, double-click on the POSAPI Client Workstation to open the Form view. Once opened, select the Revenue Centers tab. In the Revenue Center Configuration area, you want the first entry, designated the Default Revenue Center. The value you need is the number next to the Revenue Center’s Name.
Where Can I Find: API Employee Record #
The API Employee Record can be found by opening the Employee Maintenance page. From the Home page, at the Enterprise level, Configuration tab, Personnel section. Once the Employee Maintenance page is open, click the Search button. When the employees finish loading, you can then confirm with the customer which Employee Record # is to be used, if it’s not named “API Employee” “Omnivore” or something similar. Please consult the Simphony Pre-Install Guide for more information on Employee creation and settings.

Where Can I Find: Revenue Center ID and Revenue Center #
Revenue Center IDs and Revenue Center #s can be found by opening the RVC Configuration page. From the Home page, at the Property level, Setup tab, Property Configuration section. Once the RVC Configuration page is open, you can see three columns with the necessary information: The “#” column contains the RVC #, the “RVC ID” column contains the RVC ID, and the “Name” column contains the RVC Name.
Where Can I Find: Cash Tender and Send Check Tender record #
All Tenders can be found by opening the Tender/Media page. From the Home page, at the Enterprise level, Configuration tab, Sales section. Once the Tender/Media page is open, you can see the Tenders created for this Enterprise. The Cash Tender is typically a low record #, starting with a 1, like 1 or 1000. The Send Check Tender can have a variety of names like “Send”, “Send Check”. If neither of these are available, but a variation of “Send & Stay” is available, use that record #.
