How do I know which room a tablet is assigned to?
You can tell where a Tapendium tablet is assigned to by looking at the Welcome Screen where the Start button is located.
Tablets can be assigned to actually hotel rooms, Spare rooms, Tapendium Support or Demo Rooms.
Demo Devices are used by the hotel or Tapendium support stand to test and approve content before making it available to guests of the hotel. These are not located in hotel rooms.
Tapendium Support rooms are used by Tapendium support staff to test and approve content before making it available to hotel staff. These are not located in hotel rooms.
Spare Devices are kept in case a tablet suffers a hardware or software issue. A Spare device can be reassigned to a guest room to replace the device with an issue. This ensures that a working Tapendium is always available for guest rooms. Spare Devices are not located in hotel rooms, and should be kept somewhere secure until they are required.
How do I assign a tablet to a different room or location?
Step 1: Open Settings
Step 2: Enter Admin PIN or enter Device Admin PIN to access Device Settings. Please contact support@tapendium.com for Pin numbers if you have forgotten.
Step 3: Go to the hamburger menu → Manage
Step 3: In the Device Settings screen, press Assign Room (Device Setup → Assign Room) to assign the device to a different room. Alternatively, you can choose to Swap Device.
This will show a list of unassigned rooms to select from.
Step 4: Tablet will then be assigned to the new room.
