Manage Menu Layouts for different modules

There are 3 Menu Layout styles available for What’s On Modules: Classic, Compact and List.

You can add as many What’s On Modules as you need, and each can have a different layout.

There are 5 Menu Layout options for the Promotions Module

  • Layout 2 - Tiles in 2 columns. Scroll down for more tiles.

 

  • Layout 3 - Tiles in 3 columns. Scroll down for more tiles.

 

  • Horizontal Carousel - Background image is fixed and content containers scroll to the left for more.

  • Vertical Carousel - Background image is fixed and the content containers scroll down for more.

 

  • Bottom Carousel - Static background image, scroll to the left for more.

 

There are 2 Menu layout options for Information Pages: Classic and Modern.

You can change Menu Layouts on Content Modules if wish. This is done in the Content Module section under Content Management in the Admin Portal.

You can change Menu Layouts for Promotions, What’s On and Information Modules easily using the following steps, as the process is the same for each of the Modules.

Please note for Promotions Modules: Some Promotions Menu Layouts have different image size requirements. If you try to change between Vertical Carousel, Layout 2 or Layout 3 and the Horizontal Carousel Layout, you will get the warning that your images may not display correctly on the tablet. If you want to change Menu Layouts to the Horizontal Carousel layout, you will need to upload new images of the correct size and shape.

Step 1: Navigate to Admin Portal>Content Management>Content Modules. Click Edit icon on the selected Module.

Step 2: In the Menu Layout section, select the menu layout desired.

If you change a Promotions Menu Layout 2, Layout 3 or Vertical Carousel to the Horizontal Carousel Layout, you will get a warning message that images may not display correctly.

In this case, you would need a replace the Menu images in the Horizontal Carousel with the correctly sized images.

Horizontal Carousel images are 268x402 pixels (although you can also use 400x600) while most other images are 600x400 pixels.

To replace images so they display correctly when changing to the Horizontal Carousel Menu Layout in a Promotions Module, you will need to edit the Pages in the Module and upload a new Menu Image.

You can add a background image to a Menu Layout, or change the background colour of it. If you add a background image, make sure you follow image size guidelines.

Step 1: To change the background colour of a Menu, open the Menu Setting window.

Step 2: Choose a new colour for the background - Choose a new colour by either typing the hex value into the Background Colour field, or by using the colour picker that pops up. Click Save then sync the app to see the changes.

Follow the same procedures as the previous step to open the Menu Page Setting window and upload a background image. Click Save and sync the app to see your changes.
