Opera Integration Requirements

Please find a summary below of what is required for the Tapendium Devices to integrate with your
Hotel’s PMS. If you have any questions, please speak to your Tapendium Project Manager.

Oracle Opera Requirements

Required

• IFC Controller installed at your establishment. You will need to request this from Oracle if
  you have not already.
• Your Opera service must also have access to Function Call Billing View:-
  • XR – Guest Bill Request
  • XI – Guest Bill Item
  • XB – Guest Bill Balance

This function with Opera allows the Tapendium devices to interface with your Opera in order
to request billing information to allow for guests to view bill and complete an express check
out.

These are the details you may require if organising an IFC Controller installation with Oracle.

Port Location: 5020 – this is the port that Oracle usually provides us so it will probably be the
port they create for your hotel also. If they provide a different port location please advise your
Tapendium project manager

Tapendium PMS Integration Server Requirements

Ideally, we recommend setting it up as a standalone virtual machine with Raid and Snapshot
Recovery. Usually software vendors can duplicate their UAT or live database and stand it up in an
test environment so we can check integration features, however they may not be in a position to
create this for us until they have gone live with you and confirmed all their features are working.

Required

• The IFC server and the Tapendium server need to be on the same network/VLAN as they
  communicate with each other.
• Tapendium Integration Services running 32/64-bit Windows or Ubuntu Linux
• RDP Access configured for Port 3389 (MS Remote Desktop) or 5938 (TeamViewer)
• Open/Oracle JDK version 11 or above
• 2gb of Ram (4gb if Virtualised with host operating system)
• 1gb of HDD Space
• VPN Access (As per your security policy)
• Internet Access to provide RDP support & delivery of agent updates

• RAID & Snapshot Recovery or Redundant Failover Services
